Is the Nokia E63 the New Nokia E71 but Better?

The Nokia E63 has just been announced by Nokia. Deja-vu feeling coming yet? Yes sure it’s similar in design to the E71 but it’s something totally new.

If you don’t want a BlackBerry to play with but you’d like that BlackBerry feeling, then you absolutely need an E series smartphone. The E63 sports the same full QWERTY keyboard which provides that full support for your SMS and email needs. The E63 will be available soon and it will cost just 199 Euro before future subsidies and of course, taxes.

Soren Petersen, Senior Vice President of Nokia says:

Our research shows that people want a device that deals with both their personal and professional lives, but helps them to separate the two. When someone sits down at lunch, they want to update their social network or browse their personal email account and they don’t want work getting in the way of that. It’s another great case of technology adapting to the people that use it. The Nokia E63 is a new proposition for Eseries - a messaging device where people will be just as involved in their social network as they are in their business network.

Let’s look at the specs now. There’s WiFi support, fast access to Mail for Exchange, support for Files on Ovi and access to 1GB of online file storage for free. Nokia Music Store comes also with the E63 and there’s a 3.5 mm audio jack for your musical pleasure. The built-in camera will get you lots of photos and videos to share with your friends.

Want more? More specs and a release date? Well stick with us ’cause we do to, and we will surely find out more!

Nokia N79 Approved by the FCC

Look what the FCC dragged in. It’s Nokia’s N79. The phone is expected on non-US markets to hit by the end of the year and it’s rumored to cost around $520. The phone might arrive in AT&T stores in the same time but there’s no official announcement to point to that.

The N79 will have 850/1900 UMTS support, a 5 megapixel Zeiss camera with sliding lens cover, dual LED flash, VGA video recording, TV-out, S60 Feature Pack 2 and probably more. I’d be curios to see how much will AT&T charge for it, but I guess that’s the subject for another story!

Nokia Aeon Concept Phone

Nokia, please drop whatever you were doing a pay some attention to this cell phone design. It’s not an Apple nano but it’s a Nokia Aeon designed by Mac Funamizu. Since it’s just a concept phone we don’t have any features available. And there’s no price either. All we know it would look and feel like a nano and it would have a nondescript tactile feedback technology with the surface adapting to various actions. That’s a phone right here I’d buy in a heartbeat. But I’ll have to wait for that…

Nokia 1680 available at T-Mobile

Recently there seems to be a great rush for low-end cellphones on US carriers, so on top of the Samsung SGH-a637 announced today, there is the Nokia 1680 which is available T-Mobile. You can’t get more cheap than $15 after the rebate and T-Mobile contract, can you?

The 1680 Classic cellphone was first seen a few months ago, and at that time it was most affordable camera phone on the Nokia catalog.

Currently it boasts basic SMS, MMS and IM messaging functionalities, a VGA camera, and a speakerphone. One positive point goes for the battery life in stand-by mode, that can last 18 days. While talking the battery only has life for 4 hours.

Nokia E-series E75 and E72 cell phones leaked

This is hot news indeed. Ramalho Blog has unearthed an authentic-looking promo for two new Nokia devices, the E75 and E72. The E72 has a silde-out QWERTY keypad while maintaining some semblance to the already available E71 and the E75 has a QWERTY keypad below the display. Everything about the video looks real as far as we can say and both the E75 and E72 seem like great devices. From the video, we could say that apart from the QWERTY keypad, both the cell phones have WiFi, GPS, an accelerometer, and may be even HSDPA support, running as usual on Symbian OS. It might be a long time till Nokia announces these two handsets, but until then, we will be happy to bring you more information via leaks and slip-ups that seem to happen much too often nowadays. Skip over for the video…
