TrustedReviews gives us a review on the Hitachi P50XR01 50-inch Plasma TV. Hitachi P50XR01 features a resolution of 1920×1080, 10,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,100cd/m2 brightness and has a digital tuner. The P50XR01 has also a SD card slot in addition to the 3 HDMI ports and USB port.

The P50XR01 is a really great idea that has, for the most part, been very well executed. It’s surprisingly affordable, too. However, the fact that it doesn’t quite go the whole Freeview Playback hog and has a couple of disappointingly old-school picture flaws, stops it short of true telly greatness.

Fujitsu has another laptop that is powered by Intel’s latest Penryn processor, the Fujitsu Amilo Xi 2550-8009. Amilo Xi 2550 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, two 250GB hard drive and ATI Radeon HD2700 graphic card with 256MB RAM.

The Fujitsu Amilo Xi 2550-8009 offers also a Blu-ray / DVD Super Multi Combo, a 17-inch LCD display with BrightView, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, WiFi 802.11a/g/n, Bluetooth and a 5-in-1 card reader.

We have seen Hello Kitty laptop, cellphone and even iPod dock, what about a Hello Kitty Rifle. The rifle is in pink and the “cutie” Hello Kitty is holding a rifle.

This rifle is 100% legal in California because it is based on an “off-list” lower receiver made by Stag Arms and has no evil features at all, instead featuring a fixed stock instead of the evil collapsible stock, a muzzle brake in place of the vile flash-hider, and a MonsterMan Grip instead of the heinous and malicious plastic pistol grip.

You may have seen Optimus’ Maximus OLED keyboard, the developer, Art Lebedev comes up with another concept, the Optimus Tactus that is a “touch sensor display tablet keyboard that could do all the sorts of crazy stuff the Maximus can’t even touch, like playing movies and being a gigantic color swatch.”

Asus adds a new model to its U1 series of laptop by announcing in China the thin U1E laptop PC. Asus U1E is a ultra portable notebook that is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 100GB hard drive and integrated Intel GMA965 graphic card.

U1E offers also a DVD DL burner (external), WiFi 802.11a/b/g, Bluetooth and a 11.1-inch OLED display. It runs the WIndows Vista Home Premium.

The Notcot group of sites, like NOTCOT.ORG, display information in an interesting way. Very compelling and well done. Not new, but new to me.

General Motors announced the new 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. The ZR1 is powered by a 6.2L supercharged LS9 engine that can produce at least 620HP.

All the tungsten instruments around 0-60’s ZR1 really play up the surface detailing of the C6 Corvette, and the handsome metallic gray hue made this particular ZR1 a stealth bomber.
